As new homeschoolers, we decided to "sample" quite a few curriculum and lesson options out there to figure out which best fit my middle-schooler's learning style. She LOVES science and was very interested in learning more about the beavers who had recently moved onto our property. Ocean First Education offers a reasonably priced Beaver Ecology course that was available through the buyer's co-op, so we decided to give it a try.
I'm so glad that we took a chance on the Oceans First Education course! It was a truly well-rounded unit study with each core subject represented and allowed for lots of discussion. It also inspired us to investigate our own beaver habitat more closely and find evidence of so many of the things that we were learning. We look forward to incorporating more Ocean First Education courses in our plan for next school year. They are well worth the cost of the course!
